طلبت الأمم المتحدة من القوة الأممية الأفريقية المشتركة في دارفور «يوناميد» الرد بقوة على الاعتداءات التي يقوم بها المسلحون على أفرادها والمدنيين في الإقليم. وأعربت عن قلقها إزاء «الأوضاع الأمنية المتردية للغاية» في المنطقة والتي تتسم بـ «التوتر والغموض» جراء استمرار المواجهات بين قوات الحكومة والحركات المسلحة. لكن الخرطوم أكدت أن الأوضاع هادئة والأمن مستتب في الإقليم.
وقال بيان وزعته الأمم المتحدة إن بعثتها المختلطة في السودان أبلغت عن وقوع «اشتباكات مستمرة» بين القوات المسلحة ومتمردي «حركة العدل والمساواة» قرب بلدة أم ساعونة في ولاية جنوب دارفور، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الاشتباكات والتي بدأت يوم 19 الجاري، أسفرت عن وقوع عدد كبير من القتلى والجرحى من الطرفين.
وذكر أن التقارير الواردة للأمم المتحدة أكدت توصل الطرفين إلى اتفاق يقضي بالسماح لمنظمة إنسانية دولية بالدخول إلى المناطق المتضررة لنقل المصابين منها.
وكان الممثل المشترك الخاص لبعثة «يوناميد» إبراهيم غمباري دعا خلال اجتماع عقده مجلس الأمن أخيراً، الطرفين الى وقف القتال واللجوء للحوار بدلاً من العنف، مشيراً إلى أن هذه المواجهات تسببت في مقتل عدد كبير من المدنيين وتشريد الأهالي وإعاقة توزيع المساعدات الإنسانية.
وأبدى قلقه إزاء زيادة الهجمات الموجهة ضد العاملين في نشاطات إغاثة المدنيين وقوات «يوناميد»، بما في ذلك توجيه التهديدات لهم وتعرضهم الى الخطف ونهب سياراتهم. وكشف غمباري أنه طالب قوات «يوناميد» أخيراً بالرد بقوة على هذه الاعتداءات من قبل المسلحين.

في غضون ذلك (رويترز) قال محامون عن صحافي سوداني معارض معتقل ان السودان وجه اليه اتهامات بالإرهاب والتجسس وأنه تعرض للتعذيب في الحبس. ودانت منظمة «هيومان رايتس ووتش» المدافعة عن حقوق الإنسان ومقرها الولايات المتحدة اعتقال المعارض الإسلامي حسن الترابي وأربعة من العاملين في صحيفة «رأي الشعب» الناطقة بلسان حزب المؤتمر الشعبي الذي يتزعمه الترابي في وقت سابق هذا الشهر.
وقال محمد العالم محامي حزب المؤتمر الشعبي أن أبو ذر الأمين نائب رئيس تحرير الصحيفة اتهم بالإرهاب والتجسس وزعزعة النظام. وقال إن ثلاثة آخرين من العاملين بالصحيفة لم توجه لهم اتهامات بعد وأن الترابي لم يستجوب. وقال إن الأمين تعرض للتعذيب، وهو امر نفته السلطات.

وقالت اليز كيبلر، المسؤولة عن برنامج القضاء الدولي في المنظمة، في بيان "يجب توقيف البشير الملاحق من قبل القضاء، وليس تنصيبه".

واضاف البيان ان "المشاركة في حفل تنصيب البشير (المقرر في 27 ايار-مايو) يوجه رسالة مرعبة الى ضحايا دارفور والى العالم".

واوضح ان "الدول الاعضاء في محكمة الجزاء الدولية مرغمون على التعاون مع المحكمة حسب بروتوكول روما الذي انشأ المحكمة وعليهم بالتالي تقديم الدعم لعملها".

واشارت كيبلر في بيانها الى ان "الدبلوماسيين الذين يشاركون في حفل تنصيب البشير يتنكرون لدعم حكوماتهم للقضاء الدولي".

واوضحت انها توجه هذا النداء ايضا الى الدول غير الموقعة على بروتوكول روما مثل الولايات المتحدة.

وصدرت بحق الرئيس السوداني عمر البشير مذكرة توقيف في الرابع من اذار-مارس 2009 من قبل محكمة الجزاء الدولية بتهمة ارتكابه جرائم ضد الانسانية في دارفور.

ويشهد اقليم دارفور بغرب السودان حربا منذ 2003 اودت بحياة 300 الف قتيل حسب الامم المتحدة وتسببت بنزوح 2,7 مليون شخص، حسب الامم المتحدة ولكن الخرطوم تتحدث عن عشرة الاف قتيل.
